Yes, you can sort by denomination under SDC mode and sort by face/orientation under all counting modes (manually remove the bills).

Please note the DT500 is not equipped with a reject pocket, so bills have to be manually removed when sorting. If you want to enjoy continuous count and sorting, please check out the DT800 Edge Money Counter with Reject Pocket.

The machine is pre-programmed to count and sort USD, CAD, MXN, EUR and GBP. It can support up to 70+ currencies (subject to availability).

It has an Auto-selection function which automatically recognizes the first currency note and count only this currency.

Under Mix-selection, the system can count the first 4 currencies of a stack of mixed bills (it only works under MDC mode).

Following these periodic cleaning routines, it will help keep the machine in the optimum condition for ensuring a trouble-free operation as well as to extend the machine’s lifespan.

DAILY ROUTINE: Perform the following steps on a daily basis:
1. Turn Off the machine when not in use.
2. With a clean dry cloth or a brush remove the dust deposited on the hopper and the stacker area.

WEEKLY ROUTINE: Perform the following steps on a weekly basis:
1. Turn off the machine and unplug its power cord.
2. Open the back cover carefully.
3. Use an air duster can and a brush to carefully remove the dust from the note passages areas.
4. Inspect the CIS sensors to verify if they are stained with ink and use a cloth slightly soaked in alcohol to clean the CIS sensor surface only in the case it has residues of ink from the notes.

The Thickness Wheel is located on the top of the machine. It’s a grey adjustable button that has an arrow (↔) and a positive (+) and negative (-) sign on both of its end.

Having the correct feeding gap adjusted will ensure a smooth counting as well as a trouble-free operation.

Trial and error attempts are recommended before you make the final adjustment. Below are the action guidelines

- When the hopper is too tight, please loosen it by toggling the wheel to “-”. It works for used (thicker) notes, adjust toward “-” to increase the gap
- When the hopper is too loose, please tighten it by toggling the wheel to “+”. It works for new (thinner) notes and Polymer notes to reduce the gap
- We advise to keep it to Neutral mode (Factory default 0 otherwise small adjustment toward “+” direction works best.)

You may also perform this calibration when the notes are not fed smoothly through the machine or several error messages are occurring too often like Double Bills, Chain Error or Miscounting Errors.

Other reasons that might require to readjust the feeding gap are:
- The counting of new or mint condition notes
- The counting of poor or bad fitness condition notes
- Polymer notes and Paper-made notes counted together

Plug the Printer cable in the machine printing interface RS-232C Serial Port (located at the lower-left corner at the back of the device).

Once connected, Turn On the machine, ensure the baud rate is correctly setup (see below) and start the count.Press Report Button once.Press the OK Button to print the Total value and quantity of notes result.

The baud rate can change based on the printer which connects to the machine. We set to value=3 if the baud rate is 9600, otherwise set to other values that matches with your printer baud rate.

When notes are stuck in the machine, please open the machine from the back and remove the notes. Once the stuck notes are removed, press start to resume the count

In case notes are jammed inside the transporting mechanism, please follow below instructions:
- Please make sure the machine is turned off.- Proceed to open the back compartment pushing down the lock lever located at the back at the same time you pull it toward you.
- If you notice you can reach the note easily using your fingers, then proceed to remove it carefully. Otherwise if it is difficult to reach or stuck with the transporting rollers, then proceed to turn the machine OFF before any attempt to remove the note.
- Do not use any tool or metallic instrument to remove the note since it might damage other components accidentally.- Make sure to remove any remaining debris in case the note is broken.
- Close the compartment properly after finishing to extract the note.

When it’s necessary to adjust the CIS sensor (often needed when the display shows repeatedly E10 IMAGE or E30 IR ERROR), please follow below step by step instructions or reach out to our support team for help.

CIS Calibration:

1. Open the Upper back cover using the handle and place the white plastic strip in the machine (image below). Please clear the sensors prior to performing this task using the brush provided as part of the maintenance kit
2. Select the CIS Calibration sub-menu by pressing the OK button. You will be prompted to Put in the TestBar (White Plastic Strip). Press Ok when ready.
3. You should get the following notification "CIS Adjust Complete" if successful. Please take out the Test Bar (White Plastic Strip) and proceed to the CIS color balance process below
4. If the CIS adjustment fails, you get the following notification (CIS adjust exposure failed!). Please restart the machine by pressing the OFF/ON switch and try again this process until its successfully adjusted.

CIS Color Balance:

Below detailed steps on how to adjust the ColorBalance:

1. Select the CIS ColorBalance sub-menu by pressing the OK button. You will be prompted to Put in the White Plastic Card.
2. Open the back cover and insert the White Plastic Card provided in the maintenance kit. Press OK when ready
3. When the Color Balance is complete, press Start to exit.
4. Open the back compartment to remove the Card.

Note: The White Plastic is a plastified A4 paper with the following dimensions:

A4 Paper: 190m length and 85m width
Plastified: 190m length and 90m width
